I love adding personality to our home with holiday decorations. But, I don't enjoy spending a ton of money on something that will only be on display for a month. So, I often try to think up quick, easy and cost conscious projects to spruce up our home. This Easy DIY Valentine's Day Heart Garland does exactly that! It costs less than $5 and you can whip it up in 15 minutes! Plus, it's pretty darn cute!
Materials:
All the materials can be found at any craft store.
Instructions:
1. Using a cutting tool, cut a line a little larger than the width of your ribbon on one side of one foam heart. Make sure that the line is cut clear through the foam.2. Cut a second line on the opposite side of the heart, doing your best to line the cuts up and again making sure the line is cut clear through the foam.
3. Use the cuts in the first foam heart as a guide for cutting each of the remaining foam hearts. Make sure that the foam is cut all the way through with each cut.
4 / 5. Once the hearts are cut, string them on the ribbon. Starting from the bottom side of the hearts feed your ribbon through, over the center of the hearts, and out the bottom of the other side. Repeat with all your cut foam hearts.
6. When you've used all your hearts, tie a bow on each end of your ribbon and trim off any excess.
You're done! Hang it and enjoy!
Super cute!
